How to stay FOCUSED

What is focus? Focus is what is happening right here and right now. The present priority.

What is distraction? Distraction is what you end up focusing on other than the present priority.

How can we stay focused? What are the strategies?

  1. Have goals. Write them down every morning and night. You only get so long on this earth. You don’t know how much time you have left. Now is the time. Do it now. Write them down as if you have already accomplished it.

  2. Have targets. Daily targets. Stairstep your way to you goals. They are stairs that are building you up. These are what you can do today to get you closer to your goals.

  3. Have a mission statement for the day. A quote. What you want to do. What you want to be. Build internal power. Borrow somebody else’s - it doesn’t matter!

  4. Meditate. Learn how to hone in focus and blot out distraction. Your brain literally changes when you consistently meditate.

  5. Refocus. Feel like you’re not enough? If you take 2 minutes to refocus, it’s too much. Put a piece of tape around your finger and whenever you start feeling like you’re not enough..touch it.. And that’s your reset button.

  6. Time. stop trying to give yourself enough time. Compress down the amount of time your going to give yourself to do what you want to do. Shrink time. Give yourself deadlines. Efficiency is key. Keep a full calendar.

  7. Study everyday. Audio, video, reading. Whether its 15min or an 1hr. Whether its 20 pages or 100 pages. Do it every day.

  8. Cut out people who aren’t focused. Cut out the negative people. This is a very hard thing to do but essential.

  9. Put positive reminders everywhere.

  10. Go to bed earlier. More sleep equals more focus.

  11. Advertisements are trying to sell you that there is something wrong with you. There is nothing wrong with you. They are selling you on that idea. Do not buy into that. Get rid of that garbage. It’s negative nonsense.
