What you say to you matters less than how you say it
When was the last time you listened to your internal dialogue? Go ahead. Listen. What does it sound like? Are they positive or negative?
What you say to you matters less than how you say it.
I’ll say it again. What you say to you matters less than HOW you say it.
We all have an internal dialogue going on between our ears and with most things we have the power, choice and responsibility to manage that dialogue. We get to choose how we talk to ourselves. We can choose to look at things positively and objectively.
I may say to you, “Hey, I don’t like when people are mean to people I care about. And you’re being really mean to you right now. Could you stop, please?”
Nothing is going to change unless you do. Unless you take action and begin to hear and recognize what your thoughts are. There are no answers in the external. This is something that is all internal.
There is a saying that goes, “I’ll take care of me for you if you take care of you for me.”
Take care of yourself. Listen to what’s going on up there. Your words and linguistic choices shape your reality. What you think is what becomes.
